The time has come. It is officially our last week in retail and as I sit here and write this, I am feeling 100 emotions a minute. I'm remembering the friendships, our neighbours, the laughs - gosh there were so many laughs.

As most of you know, our Avalon Beach store closed at the end of February only weeks before lock down temporarily closed so many of our favourite businesses.

This period of isolation has given me thinking time I am grateful for but never expected. As I've homeschooled, mixed margaritas and NOT completed a single online fitness class, I have found time to do a lot of thinking and reading about the current state of our fashion industry.

The plan was always to consider what Salty Avalon would look like as a label but the world had other plans. There are so many talented Australian designers that need your support right now. It is not the time for a Salty Avalon label.

It brings us so much joy to see the village open again. We know that times are tough but the northern beaches community is strong and passionate about our local businesses and we will thrive.

We thank you so much for your support. To share my onward journey you can follow me on insta at @belindanowell - I am also an author, something my mum may have told you in-store a few times (cringe) and also at @saltyavalon which will continue to be a celebration of the Northern Beaches.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't tell you enough.
